Bernard Allison
If you go to a Bernard Allison show expecting to see a clone of his
world-famous father, Luther, you'll be both shocked and pleasantly
surprised. When Bernard first started performing, crowds jammed the
clubs to see the son play the father; today they come mostly to hear
Bernard play his vision of the blues. "Those who have seen him live know Bernard Allison is a slide monster.
His self-proclaimed brand of “speed slide” builds on the stylings of
Johnny Winter - from whom Bernard learned firsthand - but takes the
slippery stuff to another level."~Guitar.com "I'm gonna try my best to pick up were he left off," Bernard said, "but I can't be Luther Allison. I can only be myself."

Chubby Carrier and the Zydeco Swamp Band
Chubby Carrier is undeniably The World’s Premier Zydeco
Showman. The Chicago Tribune called them “one of the finer standard
bearers of the classic, blues-based zydeco sound among the new
generation of Louisiana bands." Chubby is well known for his
show-stealing live performances that leave his fans in a dancing
frenzy. He always brings the party (and the hot sauce!) with him
wherever he goes, and the level of energy and excitement of those live
shows made him on of the most sought-after zydeco acts in the country.
Experience the energy for yourself - live at Pearl ! $15 cover or $12 if purchased online in advance, click here

Denny Freeman
Dallas native Denny Freeman is perhaps best known as an original member
of the Austin Mafia, and the Cobras (with Stevie Ray Vaughn and
others). He has also toured extensively with Jimmy Vaughan, Angela
Strehli and Taj Mahal, and has spent the last 4 years as a sideman in
Bob Dylan's band. “Dallas native and Austin fixture, Denny Freeman was
co-lead guitarist in the Cobras with Stevie Vaughan, before joining
Angela Strehli (cutting two solo LPs during his stint with the
songstress), contributing to Big Guitars from Texas, and recording with
Lou Ann Barton. More original and out-on-a-limb than most
textbook-blues players, he co-wrote ‘Baboom/Mama Said’ on the Vaughan
Brothers’ Family Style and played guitar and piano on tour with Jimmie
Vaughan following the latter’s Strange Pleasure.” ~Dan Forte, All Music
Guide. Denny has spent the last 4 years playing guitar in Bob Dylan's
touring band. $10 cover.
